Adventures in the Arboretum

You can often find D in this purple backpack especially while I'm making dinner and he has grown weary of all other play things. We picked it up at a consignment sale (what a find!) before D was born. He loves to look over my shoulder (always the left as you can see in the picture . . . I suspect I might have a leftward curve spine by the time he has grown out of the backpack) and watch all of the goings on. He smells the spices and intently watches the chopping.

But I digress. Back to the Arboretum. Some loveliness we saw on a recent trip to the Japanese Garden in the Arboretum.

We saw this building on our trip to Louisiana. I felt like it was a little love note from heaven encouraging us in the weighty and great decision of a name.
